While our Classroom Assistant Program perfectly compliments our other products in the Penny Prima collection, it is also a great stand-alone program and works regardless of your studio programs or curriculum.

Your Classroom Assistant Program subscription includes a training course for studio owners/managers on how to implement the teacher training program in their studio, a training course for dance teachers on how to best utilize assistants and how to provide direct training and feedback within the classroom, and individual training courses for each level of the Classroom Assistant Program – Student Helper, Student Teacher, Assistant Teacher, and Substitute Teacher. 

In addition, the studios receive marketing assets to advertise their program, application process documents, evaluation and assessment templates, access to our online community of studios to ask questions and share classroom assistant ideas, and license to utilize the program name, assets, systems, and materials during their subscription period. 

Lastly, partner studios will receive regular trainings from our team of qualified educators and studio industry leaders. Training topics will each be geared towards a specific audience – studio owners, dance teachers, and the trainees themselves – and cover a variety of topics from classroom management and pedological techniques to hiring processes and advertising your program to get more assistant teachers.

Studios can subscribe to the Classroom Assistant Program monthly or yearly. Yearly subscribers receive 4 months free (a savings of $100). Studios can switch from a monthly plan to a yearly subscription at any time.

There's no contract term. If the Classroom Assistant Program isn't for your studio, you're free to cancel your subscription at any time.

If you cancel your subscription, your studio must immediately cease using the program name, logo, descriptions, text copy, and all program materials, including but not limited to program level names and descriptions, training course materials, templates, graphics, and any other content associated with or derived from the Classroom Assistant Program.

By offering a robust teacher training program with four levels, each level is specially designed for a specific age group and teaching experience level.

The four levels of the program include:
• Student Helper (starting at age 9)
• Student Teacher (can be promoted at age 13)
• Assistant Teacher (can be promoted at age 16)
• Substitute Teacher (can be promoted at age 17)

While these ages are how the program is structured, they are flexible and can be modified to fit your studio's needs.

The program is designed to bring a teacher trainee from their first day as a classroom assistant (as young as age 9) through multiple levels of development and training to eventually teach their own class. 

While this is what the program trainees are working towards, if becoming a dance teacher is not their end-goal, they will still benefit from the endless professional skills they develop and acquire through out their training and participation in the program.

It is always possible for a student to spend many years training with your studio only to go on to train, compete, and/or teach at another studio, whether you have a Classroom Assistant Program or not. While we truly understand how hurtful it can be for a student to transfer studios after the many years and care you dedicated to them, we don't think it should ever dissuade you from continuing to invest in your students and studio. In the end, transferring from your studio is that student's loss!

With that being said, your Classroom Assistant Program can be a retention tool to keep your students involved in your quality teacher training program, as well as increase their loyalty and desire to continue to grow with your studio.
